Wazobia has been welcoming guests since 1994, sharing traditional Nigerian food with people from Africa and around the world. Here on Old Kent Road, that welcome runs through our restaurant, weekend lounge, private parties and catering.
For some, it’s the familiar taste of a favourite dish. For others, it’s a first introduction to Nigerian cooking. Wherever you’re coming from, we want you to settle in, enjoy your food and feel at home.
That’s what our family house means to us: good food, good vibes, and room for fun and laughter. A place to enjoy a meal on your own, bring your people together, celebrate a birthday or dance into the evening.

Our menu brings together Nigerian favourites, traditional soups, rice dishes and grills. Start with suya or pepper soup, return to a favourite such as egusi with swallow, or make the table a little fuller with fish and sharing platters.
There are chef’s specials, vegetarian dishes, sides and something sweet to finish. Choose the food you love, or discover something different. We serve food throughout our opening hours, right up until closing.

African music is part of the Wazobia experience. At weekends, the restaurant takes on a lounge atmosphere where you can dance, celebrate and enjoy the evening. DJs join us on selected weekend evenings, with Afrobeats, old favourites and contemporary sounds.
